At Anglian Water's annual Supplier Awards ZONESCAN ALPHA was chosen among dozens of new innovative products as the one that will have a particular impact on the water network of the future. ZONESCAN ALPHA can automatically detect and pinpoint leaks with a particular accuracy and capability of distinguishing between real leaks and other noises.

A month earlier Anglian Water had presented ZONESCAN ALPHA to a Parliamentary Water group in London, using Virtual Reality images of a ZONESCAN 820 logger to be shown to public policy makers using Microsoft HoloLens. Anglian Water was asked by the Parlimentary Group to present promising technologies that are also showcased in Anglian Water's innovation test area in Newmarket.

Anglian Water deploys several thousand ZONESCAN 820 loggers every day. Continuing its rigorous leak detection programme has led the leakage teams to find and repair nearly 8000 leaks this year, reducing leakage rates by a further 5% and saving an additional 10 million litres of water every single day. Anglian Water today has one of the lowest leakage records in the water industry.
