THE ROLE – Tasks & Responsibilities
Join us as dynamic and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager and lead the sales growth in Eastern Europe – from “Baltics to Balkans” – with the Gutermann leak detection portfolio and achieve the maximum customer impact with our technologies and solutions. As a global leader in intelligent water loss technologies, we're seeking a candidate with both technical and commercial experience and acumen, someone who has a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.
The ideal candidate has a hands-on practical approach and is ready to thrive in our fast-paced environment. You will drive the sales growth of the product portfolio including IoT solutions in the region, covering a broad range of water loss products, while working closely with the EMEA Sales Director. The portfolio targets drinking water applications, focused on municipal water distribution networks.
Your main tasks are to
- Develop and grow steadily a healthy project funnel with dedicated channel partners (distributors and agents)
- Build-up of new sales channels and route to the markets by identifying, selecting, onboarding, training and managing suitable distribution partner
- Support demo trials and pilots at customer site with our partners or directly with Key Accounts
- Be involved and provide input for appropriate tender specifications and to RFQs
- Provide external leadership for the market by actively supporting channel partners at customer presentations, roadshows, seminars, trade shows and conferences
- Prepare and submit quotations, follow up, drive and maintain the leads, enable proper funnel management, convert and handle the sales orders from start to completion
- Identify new projects, develop leads at municipalities, water contractors, design institutes and water service providers (utilities) direct and indirect with local channel partners
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key purchasing decision-makers and influencers in the region
- Understand the competitor landscape and highlight our unique selling points and value propositions to partners and clients
- Provide input for success stories from the region, and define regional growth strategies
- Grant visibility into progress of funnel development and channel partner management
- Provide management with analyses and reports as appropriate
YOU ARE: Profile & Qualifications
Our key requirements include:
- 5+ years of experience within SALES of sensors and monitoring devices in water applications, system components or water treatment systems, beneficial: experience in drinking water within the region
- A degree in Engineering, Process-Engineering, EMR, Automation
- Experience in Channel Partner Management, ideally in water applications or in the utilities sector
- Ability to promote and acquire projects
- Ability to collaborate at all levels in the organization and at customers
- Both technical and business affinity and acumen
- Proficient in written and spoken English, additional regional languages are a strong plus
- High willingness to travel
